LG Electronics and Dolby Laboratories have teamed up to unveil a groundbreaking home audio system — the LG Sound Suite, featuring the H7 soundbar, the world’s first soundbar powered by Dolby Atmos FlexConnect. This next-generation modular system supports custom audio setups up to 13.1.7 channels, meaning truly immersive surround sound that’s easier to install and expand than ever.

The new system is being showcased ahead of its public debut at CES 2026 in Las Vegas, running from January 6–9, 2026.

What Makes Dolby Atmos FlexConnect Special?

Traditionally, home theater systems require precise speaker placement and plenty of wires. Dolby Atmos FlexConnect changes that by allowing wireless speaker placement and automatic sound calibration — giving users more flexibility to tailor setups to their room layout and personal style.

Key Features of FlexConnect

Wireless modular design: No complex wiring or strict speaker positioning.

Up to 27 unique configurations: From simple setups to full 13.1.7-channel home theater sound.

Broad compatibility: Works with any TV when the H7 soundbar is the lead device and supports select 2025/2026 LG TVs via software updates.

Auto-calibration: System automatically adjusts audio placement and timing based on where speakers are placed.

The H7 soundbar also leverages LG’s Alpha 11 Gen 3 AI processor, which enables advanced features like AI Sound Pro+ — up-mixing stereo content into rich multi-channel surround audio.

How the LG Sound Suite Works

The LG Sound Suite is built around the H7 soundbar and can expand with additional components:

H7 Soundbar: The modular system’s hub.

M7 & M5 Wireless Surround Speakers: Up to four surrounds for immersive setup.

W7 Subwoofer: Optional subwoofer for deep, low-frequency sound.

Whether you’re starting small or building out a full home theater, the system’s wireless architecture lets you upgrade over time without rewiring.

What This Means for Home Audio in 2026

The LG Sound Suite marks a significant shift in home audio design:

Flexibility: Easily shape your sound system for your room, not the other way around.

Scalability: Build from simple stereo to rich 13.1.7 immersive audio.

Plug-and-play simplicity: Wireless and auto-tuned systems reduce the complexity traditionally associated with high-end setups.

This positions LG’s new suite not just as a premium soundbar option, but as a home theater solution accessible to everyday consumers.
